OTHER RESOURCES ABOUT RESPECT

  1. DO UNTO OTTERS BOOK COMPANION

Showing good manners is a big part of being respectful to the people around us. Have you read, “Do Unto Otters” ? It’s a hilarious book about forest animals and their manners. I love this book so much that I created some activities to support the book and keep manners fresh in my students’ minds. Check it out below!

2. RESPECT QR CODE EXPLORATION

My students love these QR code explorations! They scan the QR code, make notes on the connections they make, and come back together as a class to discuss what they saw!

3. RESPECT PARENT LETTER

Parent communication is so important! After we learn about respect at school, I like to send home this parent letter that explains respect, gives examples, and gives parents tips for how they can help their child show respect at home.

Respect can be a difficult concept for young students. We can say, “be respectful!” all we want, but do students really understand what that means? These videos will help your students begin to understand respect. #respect #respectful #socialemotion…
